Holistic Psychotherapy combines both traditional therapy with evidenced based alternative modalities. At Mind Wellness Counseling, we embrace mind/body wellness as one of our core values. With this type of therapy, we may incorporate yoga therapy, mindfulness, breathwork, or movement. These modalities coupled with traditional evidenced based therapies can be a powerful combination for healing mind and body.
Mind Wellness Counseling recognizes that treating symptoms is a temporary fix. We seek to identify the root cause of the issue. We do this by evaluating each person within the nine core components of wellness.
Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. In the same way you maintain your personal physical hygiene, you should get into a habit of cultivating and building a regular routine of mental hygiene. Mental hygiene can be learned through building skills of self-care and self-compassion. Our friendly mind wellness therapists are here to support you in your mental wellness.

An assessment of your overall health will be evaluated, and a plan of action will be developed to help you reach your mind/body wellness goals.

We know that nutrition affects both our mental and physical health. That’s why we teach people how to make healthy choices in the foods they eat. Following a comprehensive assessment, we will ally with you to develop a treatment plan that could include Nutritional Coaching with a Nurse Practitioner, a referral to our Board-Certified Naturopathic Doctor, or perhaps Mindful Eating Education with a Psychotherapist.

We understand that your medical care is an important component to your overall well-being. Given this, we will coordinate with your primary care physician to ensure that you have continuity of care. In addition, we have a nurse practitioner on staff who can provide advice on medical concerns related to your mental wellness.

Our health and wellness coach can teach you helpful tools that can help maintain a balanced budget. And if we need to refer you to a more specialized financial expert, then we can use our network of professional relationships to refer you to a reputable person.
